Pindar and Earthwatch to work together

It would be wrong to think we can achieve what we want alone.

If we're committed to genuinely improve our environmental performance then it's important we benefit from expert and independent advice at a strategic level.

That's why I've been looking for a partner to help us on our journey and, in essence, to act as the company's environmental conscience.

I'm delighted therefore that the Earthwatch Institute has agreed to work with us for at least the next three years to support our environmental change management programme. Like all good partners they will encourage, question and be critical when necessary, ensuring we genuinely add value to our future and existing activities.

As one of the world's leading environmental volunteer non-profit organisations, Earthwatch's mission is to engage people worldwide in scientific field research and education and its projects focus on climate change, endangered species and resources, marine biology, ocean conservation, as well as threatened traditional cultures. As part of our sponsorship agreement with Earthwatch we will serve as Ocean Ambassador in support of their pioneering Sustainable Ocean's Programme which reinforces our affinity with projects linked to the sea and climate change.

Earthwatch will in turn benefit from our high profile sponsorship programme and will use the Team Pindar sailing team to drive awareness and to raise revenue for their many good causes.
