Long term association with sports, such as yacht racing, has enabled Pindar to gain significant marketing advantage and extensive media coverage in an otherwise highly competitive market place. Throughout all the projects is a common theme enabling individuals and teams to develop their skills and capabilities on the international sporting stage.
Pindar's sporting strategy focuses on the people their exceptional personalities, their values and approach to life. United by one sponsor, and sharing a fierce determination to succeed, each has a different story to tell.
We are privileged to have worked with, and continue to work with, some highly talented athletes, at a variety of levels. From humble beginnings and our original association with Emma Richards, when she was starting out in solo ocean sailing, our team has evolved, grown and attained some outstanding sporting achievements.
Following her win in the 420 Ladies Worlds in 2006,
Hannah Mills is setting out on the ambitious path to 2012 in her 470 dinghy, and aims to join the highly successful Team GBR. Olympic yachting has been the most successful sport for the last two games, bringing more medals to UK sport than any other sporting discipline.
Ian Williams, a relative newcomer to Pindar is currently dominating the World Match Racing sailing series. One of the youngest professional competitors on the circuit, Ian has built his career independently of other sailors who are backed by sporting bodies and major America's Cup syndicates.
Ever inspirational to us all,
Hilary Lister is once again hoping to push the boundaries of what's possible. Currently in training to sail solo round Britain, while only able to move her head, Hilary is on the path to find sponsorship, support and equipment to help her amazing voyage, fundraising for other disabled sailors.
In July 2007 Hilary became the first female quadriplegic to sail solo around the Isle of Wight.
