Pindar achieves ISO14001

Pindar have recently achieved recognition under the ISO14001 environmental standard at the site in Scarborough.  ISO14001 is a management tool which enables a company  to identify and control the environmental impact of its activities, products or services, improve its environmental performance continually, and to implement a systematic approach to setting environmental objectives and targets, to achieve these and to demonstrating that they have been achieved.

It provides reassurance to external stakeholders – such as customers, the community and regulatory agencies - that Pindar complies with environmental regulations, supports claims and communication about environmental policies, plans and actions and provides a framework for demonstrating conformity via an independent certification body.

The Pindar site in Aylesbury already holds the certification and the Preston location is working to achieve accreditation later this year. 

This environmental standard is in addition to the FSC and PEFC chain of custody certification already enjoyed by Pindar at its main printing sites and Alphagraphics Inc.
