Pindar's apprenticeship programme

When it comes to the future of your career, we offer opportunities, challenges and rewards that are hard to rival. The Pindar apprenticeship programme is a structured training process that, over the years has helped shape the careers of many young people.

The first Pindar apprenticeship started on the 29th January 1869. This date witnessed George Arthur Pindar commence his training in the printing industry. Over one hundred and thirty years later Pindar still recognise the need to invest in young people.
Depending on the requirements by individual departments apprenticeship opportunities can include: pre-press, print production, print finishing services, accounting, business administration, customer service and information technology.

As you can imagine from a respected and innovative company like Pindar, we require and select high calibre people to join our apprenticeship programme. Entry requirements do vary, but our expectations usually include the equivalent of 5 GCSE’s grade C or above. In addition you will be expected to successfully complete a range of pre-selection assessment tests and during interview, demonstrate your future commitment to the apprentice programme. Training for successful applicants will depend on your chosen career path however, apprenticeship training will normally be a combination of college attendance and work experience training linked to NVQ qualifications.

To deliver the training, we work in conjunction with a number of Further Education colleges. For skilled craft people in prepress, print production and print finishing services, Pindar have aligned with Leeds College of Technology. For more information, please visit Leeds College of Technology
